Install Sentinel driver when installing SCIA Engineer for the first time

At first the installation of SCIA Engineer on a computer, it is necessary to install also the Sentinel Protection Installer.

The Sentinel Protection Installer provides the communication between SCIA Engineer and the Sentinel dongle. This installation is only needed for users with a standalone dongle protection.

This program has to be installed once. When installing a higher version of SCIA Engineer, it is not necessary to update the Sentinel Protection Installer.

You can find a few versions of the Sentinel Protection Installer below:

• Sentinel Protection Installer 7.6.4.exe
• Sentinel Protection Installer 7.6.5.exe
• Sentinel Protection Installer 7.6.9.exe

Note: do not attach your dongle on the computer when installing the Sentinel Protection Installer!!!

If the dongle has been attached to the computer when installing the Sentinel Protection Installer, it can happen that the dongle is not recognized. In this case it is recommanded to deinstall the Sentinel Protection Installer via the 'Control panel' of Windows and install the Sentinel Protection Installer again afterwards without the dongle on the computer.
